At 1500 S Western ave, the Veilance Headquarters is split into two spaces. Our office and bookmaking studio on one end, and The Library on the other.

Through our studio we commit to manufacture strictly print based media for all Veilance Press / Veilance Books projects. Our library serves the literary and arts community in Chicago through events that emphasize creative approaches to in person dialogue. This will include art shows, readings, book clubs and lectures.

To visit The Library or tour the studio our open hours are every Friday, 12–6pm. Veilance Press originals and local publications will be available for purchase, and our library of second-hand books will be open for sit-in reading or check-outs.

The Library

To check-out books, sign up for a library card in person with our Librarian, Elizabeth Shaw. For $20, a personalized library card will allow you to check out books and attend book clubs.

Donations & Consignment

If you would like to donate your books to the Veilance Library, you are welcome to come in during our open hours. We may not be able to take in large donations as space is limited but we are appreciative of any offers and will happily take what we can. If you have any questions please contact our librarian at:
